Thing # 15

I was fascinated by the ideas of Dr. Wendy Schultz - up to a point. I got "it" up to Library 3.0 but then she lost me at Library 4.0. Way over my head. Anyway I believe that libraries are communities. I see it everyday when I greet customers who have come to rely on my service, I am part of their community even though I don't physically live there. We actually are participating in Library 2.0; we teach customers how to use our online databases, our downloadable books/music/films. Our library provides Wifi which 10 years ago would have been considered futuristic. We will continue to be the library tour guides in the future but that's what we always have been only our degrees call us librarians.
